Rick was a great guy to talk to, and share a tune or song with. When we last saw him, a few months back at our house here in London, we had a fine musical day with Tom Paley and others. Rick clearly wasn't well, not his usual self - but he was a stoical man and didn't make a fuss. Beyond saying he had some back pain, he said nothing about what ailed him. He will be sorely missed from our lives.
