*Faria- fa' ria; Geld (or Zins)- tribute, money for taxes; sich in Acht nehmen- take care, be careful; Reisig- twig-branches; Reich mir- give me; schwenkst- the water must be pure. Federbett often as Feldbett. Zigeuners or Jagers (hunters). Hirschlein- venison or deer meat.

Not much was found on English versions. It was sung by Girl Scouts in Colorado, the version posted by rabbitrunning in 2000. For comparison, that version is re-posted here. Does anyone have others?
