New Hampshire is gorgeous, Maggie. When I was working at Fox Run Mall in Portsmouth (Newington, if you want to get technical), I was "forced" to drive past/over Little Bay and Great Bay, take the Spaulding Turnpike bridge along the Piscataqua River and over the mouth of the Bays. Today, going to my dentist appointment, in taking the shortcut between Rte. 4 and Rte. 9, I drove past Mendums Pond and Swains Lake. Got to check out how many turtles were on what I call Turtle Rock. Had to take a "faster" road home so I could get a few groceries, but then took back roads to Nottingham's center so I could vote in today's primary. Not much reason for us Democrats to go to the polls today, but I feel voting is important no matter what. Then turn down my road which is 1.2 miles of dirt road through fairly thick woods before you reach my house just before the top of the hill. (Broken only by the Priest Road Cliffs, which used to draw a lot of rock climbers.) Just started the dishes in the dishwasher and put the zucchini bread in the oven. This morning I had a nice long talk with a friend who lost her husband a couple months before I lost Tom. And I got directions to the studio in Worcester, MA to all those who have confirmed with me for the PMFF promo that Nick Noble will do on his "The Folk Revival" show on WICN on September 18th. Right now the novocaine is wearing off and I'm not only getting a headache but my jaw hurts. Think I'll take some aspirin and return my sister's call. Linn
