Good point about the yoghurt Rumncoke, I have wondered if Mr has enough 'healthy gut flora' or the right balance, maybe a probiotic would be a good thing to aid bloating issues, alongside the fibre of course. He reports that today his discomfort is down from a 10 to a 1. That's in just one week of being on a high fibre / reduced fat / meat free diet after many months of suffering increasing pain and bloating. Initially I thought we might have to try him out on an elimination diet to see if he had any specific sensitivities that were causing something like IBS, but so far a low-fat plant-based whole-food diet seem to be doing the job. I'm pretty pleased to see such a positive reaction so quickly, we thought this could be a real problem. In other news I've lost ten pounds. Only ninety five left to go... o.O
