I've put up videos of our performances from dvd's on youtube. At first I used a magix program, was "interesting," but I learned how to use it. I would play the dvd through a dvd player, plugged in to the computer on a usb cord. I would start the recording at the point I wanted, and then stop it, then upload it in mp4 format to youtube. I called it fire ax editing, but it worked. When I updated the computer from window xp, to windows 7, that stopped working, so i bought an adobe premier elements 12 program. That works, but you need a college course. I recently went to youtube and pushed their upload button and found I could access my hard drive files from the dvd's I'd put in. They permitted me to do multiple start and stopping points (one song at a time). I uploaded a 33 minute segment on private viewing and got four good song performances that way, without using my adobe program. I'm going to upload some more dvd's and see how easy it is to continue. Not to blow my own horn, but if you put my name in youtube, my channel will come up and you can see what I've done. The hard drive/youtube method also didn't cost anything.
