GUEST,LynnT any musical/singing sailors out there? (19) RE: any musical/singing sailors out there? 20 Oct 14

Well, I retired in 2003 as a CDR USNR, with 17 years of day-for-day service to my name, but little of that was on ships, mostly I was in P3 avionics or sailed a desk. My air squadrons spent time in Rota Spain, Sigonella Sicily, and the Baltics, and I did a stint on the ground in Kosovo working comms. That said, I had me an O'Day 22 for several years, the biggest thing I could single sail, that I kept at the Ft Washington Marina south of DC, and I've been known to sing a few chanteys at Royal Mile and the like in DC -- I was the original compiler of the Chant'nal (sea chantey hymnal) later passed on to the curatorship of Vince Wilding.

FWIW,

Lynn
