folk clubs are places where people go to listen to folk music to sing and to socialise. Folk club organisers particularly those like the organisers of LWES THURSDAY CLUB who have done it for 40 or 50 years, have done a great job. I find it sad when no one is prepared to take over a long running club, there are probably a host of reasons, but it is still sad, and those people who have run clubs for many years deserve a lot of praise for their work.
