I, also, bought every tab book and style manual I could find ; I also listened to all of the greats. I reached a level and couldn't seem to go any higher. A friend of mine suggested I part with some of my green and start attending small club concerts to WATCH. WoW ! What a jump start ! I played and played and played, most of the time exactly what I saw and did it shamelessly. I still play and love the blues. Alas my fingers are not what they used to be, but the many times I spent just watching surely put me on the right track. Good Luck !
