We used to have several different ants nests in the garden - and they did come into the kitchen - but I told them off for it and they stopped coming in - I really don't know why as I'm sure they have no understanding of English.

Over time, however, I changed the ecology of the garden growing fruit bushes and trees rather than having grass, and they have gone. There used to be a big nest of black ants under the paving stones, but it is constant shade from the apple trees, and just that bit colder, I suppose.

Hopefully the great great granddaughters are busily doing the ant thing elsewhere. They used to swarm in their many thousands when they hatched a generation with wings, so they were flourishing at one time.

Ah now there is no toggling between for this PC - no symbol for it - lower left is the start menu - the new PC is getting more 7-ish all the time. There are 8.1 parts I'm sure, but we don't need to go there at all. The big lack is Windows Media Centre, but we can buy something to do the job. I record early evening programs to watch the next day, or when I have time.
