my older desktop computer was unplugged for a while, I plugged it in and monitor will not come on. it beeped several times. green light came on and it switched to orange light blinking with no video input message. i checked all connections, repowered, etc. it has not been moved or dropped..worked fine for a long time. i probably punched some of the buttons on the front...googled it and watched a couple of you tube videos. i am not going to be replacing video cards etc....will hopefully switch out cable tonight...

any suggestions? i will also hit f8 a bunch of times as someone suggested...thatis about the extent of my skills....
