Roger the Skiffler Hushabye as signature tune (2) Hushabye as signature tune 20 Nov 14

I always preferred Monty Sunshine's Hushabye to his more famous version of Petite Fleur (I preferred the Bechet original), partly because I have always associated it with a BBC radio thriller series broadcast in the mid 1950s.
I wonder if any Mudcatters of a similar age can lay to rest a thing that's been bugging me recently. I "know" it was by prolific writer and bohemian Julian MacLaren-Ross. He narrated it as well in his husky whisky-soaked voice which added to the chills. The BBC have put the Radio Times archive online via their Genome project so I did a search. I think the series I remember was probably The Girl in the Photograph but the music credits list people I've not heard of and not Sunshine. Searching Genome for Sunshine only brings up his gigs on Jazz Club etc.
Of course, I may be confusing two completely different series.
It's going to drive me nuts (too late, Roger, too late!) till I resolve this.
PLASE HELP THE AGED if you can.
