Physics tells us that all things moved towards entropy - which seems to be a state of nothing, devoid of energy. Therefore, in a parallel universe, music is played backwards, so that the forward movement we generate toward a musical conclusion is nullified by the backward movement of music in the parallel universe. I will send Joe eight measures of 'Irish Washerwoman' played backwards so you can see what I mean. It is remarkable how devoid of charm it is.
