To Olddude: are Regarding the Christmas lights keeping you awake: You could go to your local pharmacy or (chemist if you are in UK) and buy a sleep mask for about $5.00 or $6.00) Very inexpensive. Don't get a sinus mask but get a Sleep Mask - the dark/black sleep mask that has an elastic piece that goes around the back of your head. Buy a dark one because it keeps any bright light out of your eyes. I have seen them sometimes for $3.00 or $4.00. Sometimes they are in the pharmacy area and sometimes with beauty products in some stores. If you can't find it just ask a clerk for the sleep masks. Oh yeah, sometimes they are kept where they sell the ear plugs. I actually use them for keeping out the morning light. Takes a day or two to maybe get used to them but then it really helps. Oh, some have just a elastic piece and some types have adjustable ones that you can stretch/adjust for your comfort. They really work - but buy the black ones - not light colored ones as those don't keep the light out.
