Just taken delivery of Ian Chisholm's 52nd piece of instrumental artwork. A lovely guitar with Ziricote back and sides, a "scoop" rather than a cutaway and a really lovely sound. Great action, superb neck and fabulous looks. I'm so happy with it! He fitted a K & K Pure Mini passive acoustic pickup to it. I played it through a PA with no preamp last night and it sounded just superb....full acoustic "timbre" with none of the "quacking" or "tinny-ness" you can sometimes get from under-saddle piezo jobs....probably because it's picking up from the soundboard as well as the strings? Played at an open mic tonight and I don't know if it was the confidence of the new guitar or what, but I think I played the best set I've ever done....judging from the olume of applause. Two of my songs actually got whoops and cheers!
