It's a classic dichotomy - the disconnection between the morally flawed artist and his/her art, and whether one cancels out the other or runs alongside it - and how we deal with it practically.

I also happen to have "The Bones Of All Men" by Pickett, with Richard Thompson, and it's a superb album. Will I still play it? Yes, I will, from time to time - but I will now also be reminded, whenever I play it, of the depressing flaws in human nature.
