I have a Zoom H2 recorder which I've used in various locations and conditions. Invariably I've got amazingly good results. However, the choir to which I belong (The Liverpool Socialist Singers) is planning to record a CD and have asked whether my recorder might be up to the job. I have no doubt that the recorder would be, but I doubt that the inbuilt mics could capture the physical spread of the choir (around 180 degrees, and upwards of thirty singers). Does anyone have any experience of using a Zoom under these sorts of conditions? I should add that we'll be using a church with excellent acoustics.
