As a friend said- 'who appointed Billy Bragg as the modern Woody Guthrie?'- still he did a decent job of this.

Jock can, as BB said, still be seen on the 'Cotia banner, now housed in the Washington Arts Centre except when in use.

His likeness is carried proudly into Durham every summer at the Miners' Gala along with his marra Jack Elliot. The banner's motto is 'Ye brave bold men of 'Cotia' - after one of Jock's songs and it will be led into Durham again in July by Jack's daughter Doreen, husband Bryan and friends. This will continue as long as us old codgers can manage it.
