Sounds good Tattie -going to have to try that sometime. The soup maker cooks and liquidises so no messy pans to clean. Just the container, which goes in the dishwasher and the blades, which get rinsed under the hot tap. Horses for courses - I find it a useful piece of equipment as there is no risk of burning the soup if, for some reason you can't keep a close eye on it and it can be left to cook without having to be stirred or watched. Not sure, Steve, why you find the need to criticise to the extent you do.
