Notwithstanding that one word can, according to that lass on Countdown, have multiple or abstracted meanings. Hence the word "Civilisation" to mean a subjective view of your society's standing. As in "act in a civilised manner" or "be civil to your newsagent and don't enquire as to the whereabouts of his nephew " Get nurse to explain it to you.

By clicking on the Thread Name, you will be sent to the Forum on that thread as if you selected it from the main Mudcat Forum page.
