The problem with most manure also is that it will burn the tender plants in the garden if it is applied directly or used as top dressing. I think my organic gardening guru hasn't come across llama or alpaca, but that makes sense. I suppose you could use deer droppings in the same way then. I used to see deer beds when I worked in the woods, Just think - carrying a bag along at work to scoop up and haul out the morning dump next to the shallow sleeping impression. ;) SRS
