Then there are posters who are entirely believable and consistent. At risk of bringing down his ire upon my head I would cite Steve Shaw as a prime example. He makes no attempt to hide his identity and posts in a forthright way which, for the most part, eschews needless and pointless name calling and obscenity. I know he occasionally loses it with looney Pete but that's understandable. (He despises me too and that's also fine)

BrendanB, do you ever question why the poster you so idolize is compelled to introduce a snarky or contemptuous reference to Israel or Jews (thinly disguised as AIPAC or Zionists) in almost every thread even those that have nothing to do with Israel? His first post in this thread for example.

I never criticise the ordinary people of Israel. In fact, I have a lot of sympathy for the insecurity they must often feel and I blame only their leaders, never them. And I say that here all the time. I also make clear time and again that Israel has, in my opinion, the right to continue to exist. Which is not to say that I think Israel doesn't need to change radically. I have made it abundantly clear that I know that AIPAC (far and away the most influential pro-Israel lobby group in the US) consists of both Jewish and non-Jewish people. I never refer to the Jewish lobby, always the pro-Israel lobby. I never, ever, express contempt for Jews. I never express contempt even for Jewish people who engage in practices I disagree with because they are Jewish. I don't agree with a lot of what the Israeli state does with regard to Palestine but I express myself very carefully to ensure that what I type reflects precisely what I think. Now if you can produce evidence from any of my posts that is contrary to this, do produce it please. And I haven't forgotten that I'm asking this question of a person who called me a fascist and the Palestinian people held up for days at road blocks Jew-killers. He doesn't want us to call him an Islamophobe for saying that, so I won't. But perhaps he'd care to explain to us why we shouldn't.
