Dad and Bro were on a fishin trip just west of Trenton, Ontario back in the early 60s. Hot day... nuthin takin. Stopped on a bridge and there were loads of big trout in the deep hole below the bridge (that's how you build a bridge... with a deep hole to slow the water flow). The old man (RCAF instructor in such) dropped an M-36 in. They saw the bottom of the stream. They saw fish in the air, although they couldn't really tell the fish from the water on accounta the grenade blew everything to shit. Bro said he remembered Dad sayin, "Get in the fuckin car! Get in the fuckin car!" Then there's the story about blowin the beaver dam... Bro and Elgy (late teens) were told to go blow the dam on the road to the camp. When they got there, Bro asked how many sticks of TNT? Elgy says, "I guess all of em." Not good.... y had to fix the camp roof and it was a 1/4 of a mile away.
