Bruce Springsteen was scheduled to do a concert at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, on April 1.

That morning the O.U. Post published their annual parody issue, The Pest, with a headline that the Springsteen concert had been cancelled.

A crowd of angry students decended on the administration building and the Post had to do some serious appologizing.

Anyone reading the article accompanying the headline, which explained that Springsteen was being replaced by a band called The Lame Excuses, would have known it was meant to be funny.
