That's interesting because in areas where I've fished for them (MT,UT,ID,WY,CO,NC,GA} the brown is most highly prized among anglers as they're usually the most difficult trout to take on a dry fly and they're also quite beautiful. I do like to eat trout from time to time especially small brookies panfried streamside but no coldwater fish I've had can compare with pompano or redfish in parchment (foil for me) or snook or spanish mackerel on the grill.
