Good one GUEST,#. I hitch-hiked to St.John's in 1967 and recall seeing them lifting RR cars off the ferry in Port Aux Basque and setting them on narrow guage trucks. There are still a few cars, a snow plow and an engine at the old RR station in Port Aux Basque. I recall hearing that if you got your moose,and you could get it as far as the railway tracks, the train would stop and load it on for you. The train had the nick-name "Newfie Bullet".
