Seriously, there's a world of difference between Pearl Harbor and the Gulf of Tonkin -- and I don't mean geographically. The fact is that the World Trade Center was attacked and a helluva lot of people died. The fact is that at that time the US public would have been willing to support a declaration of war. The fact is that if war had been declared the insurance policies would have been void ("acts of war" and all that voids your insurance policy). It doesn't take someone brighter that Stephen Hawking to figure out what happened next...especially since a son could say, "Looky, Daddy! I got to finish it!! Aren't you proud of me?"
