Gnu, I'm saddened to read that you were not able to participate as fully as you would've liked at Rodney's funeral & wake. I can't say whether the absence of a eulogy is typical or not. Even as a non-believer, I have frequently appreciated a well written & delivered eulogy. Quite how I would cope at an Irish Wake as a teetotaller I really can't imagine! No condolences, but special thoughts, nonetheless.

I have been thinking a great deal recently about the growing list of Dear, Trusted Friends I've got to know through this thread in particular & Mudcat, in general. Dear, Trusted Friends who, I will almost certainly never meet, face to face. Maybe one day.........
