New Harbor, Maine will always be my heart's home. Drobak, Norway was interesting, especially the first house my family rented. Built in the 1600s (ancient by US standards) and on an old lane built into a hillside not wide enough for cars. We had a fantastic view of the Oslo Fjord and all the shipping traffic, and badgers who occasionally wandered through the garden. I'm pretty happy where I'm at now on a rural back road with no streetlights in Freeport, Maine in a small, one-room cottage backing onto a lovely large tract of town-owned forest.
