Thanks, Marie. Do you know what "sabots" are? I take it they're wooden shoes. Are wooden shoes traditional in the part of Southern France where Lourdes is located? I believe the language of the area is Occitan, a blend of French and Spanish. So, when Mary said, "I am the Immaculate Conception," she said it in something that sounds not quite like French and not quite like Spanish. I didn't witness a "sad procession" at Lourdes. I was impressed with how everybody seemed to be happy and having a good time, even the ones who came for healing of maladies. -Joe-
