I saw Josh on BBC TV around 1960, and was not impressed! Even though I was only 15 or 16 I sensed that he was tailoring his material for a white audience. Who wants to hear an authentic blues singer performing Molly Molone and I gave my love a cherry? His watered down performance was big disappointment.
