Pegie Douglas and I did shows all around Custer S.D. this weekend but the best was at the Badger Hole, the home of Badger Clark for the latter half of his life. We were going to do the show in the cabin expecting just a handful of visitors. Then we thought maybe we could perform on the porch but more people came. We ended up piling them on the porch and cascading down the slope. Pegie and I were on the slope below that. The Custer State Park staff declared they had never seen so many cars in the parking lot. It was great to see the folks of Custer turn out to celebrate their own "Poet Lariat"! Rex
