Why not open your eyes, Bonzo, look at the world around you, and use some common sense.

Whether we like it or not, there is still some racism in this country. It's been a fact of life for a long time that, if you're black, you're more likely to be stopped and questioned by the police. If you're black you're still more likely to be pulled over in your car than if you're white. There's been a huge amount of press coverage about some of the racism in police ranks. You must be aware of all this

Hopefully, that's changing. But, when people read about the shooting of a black person, all those issues come to the surface and create suspicion and potential disbelief in peoples' minds.

White people have not been as subject to such police pressures over the years so, when this white person (armed and threatening) was shot, it wouldn't have aroused the same suspicions of overkill on the grounds of race.
