Been working outside, too, when the weather (heat and humidity) has allowed. Getting the leaf litter out of the flower beds, raking last years leaves off the sides of the driveway, and now raking this year's leaves (the American Basswood at the foot of the driveway has started seriously dropping leaves), and pine spills from the head of the driveway (and working my way down the driveway). Still need to cut some more branches and small trees out back.

Also made the first contact to sell 25+ acres to a NH conservation outfit and continuing to research reverse mortgages -- I think I should make an appointment with a HUD counselor.

Oh, and I decided to cut down my alcohol consumption. Not that I drink a lot, but I like a sip while reading in bed before sleeping. It really doesn't need to be alcoholic, and if it is, it definitely doesn't need to be two. I had a doctor's appointment about two weeks after I started on the cut down program and found I'd lost 5 pounds. Definitely a painless way to do it! I'm not depriving myself at all. I had a beer with supper tonight, so I guess it's seltzer and bitters before bed.

Cleaning out "The Room" is exciting. I'm finding things I forgot I had -- like a circa 1995 Mac PowerBook 520 including manuals, etc. And TWO copies of the Bill Morrissey 1977 45rpm single (I knew I had one) that was recorded in Tom's Epping, NH living room by Chris Biggi who later became Sunset Ridge Studios. (Shoot the Cat Records.)

Just dumped some more leaves and pulled some weeds before I came in from supper on the deck.

Now the cats are hinting broadly that it's THEIR suppertime!

Linn
