There are so many levels of 'bawdy' songs & poems that the mind quails. Some are clever & funny and well constructed, some are just stupid & crude. I remember hearing a song done at 2AM in a dark room which sounded funny & clever, but once written down, supposedly to learn it, turned out to have only one 'interesting' verse and a clever chorus. (The Mayor of Bayswater) Sometimes the fascination with repeating naughty words out loud that we had as 12 year old kids seems to never be ^{upgraded in certain adults. I really enjoy clever bawdy songs, but the crude, silly ones wear on me.}
