You know how when you meet some people, you just click? REALLY click? I had that happen today. She is a former professor of mine....we got along well in class but that was the extent of it. We've chatted a few times in yoga but earlier this week she emailed me about a personal matter and so we got together today to talk. Two hours flew by, ended in hugs and left me most happy. :)

About the chickens, the ones we got this week are grown but not fully mature. They are not yet laying eggs. Jeremiah loves to go *check on the chickens.* This flock isn't comfortable here just yet and as such, are skittish. I imagine this will change in the next few weeks as they become accustomed to their new surroundings and us.

I have a girlfriend who has several hens and she offered to hatch out an incubator full for us as hens are hard to come by at the moment from the larger hatcheries. I offered to hatch the eggs out here but she has 5 children at home that she is homeschooling and incubating eggs makes for some great lessons! :)

My house is a mess this week. I am doing lots of running around that I haven't been able to do in a LONG time (like chatting over coffee for a few hours, spending time at the nursing home for more than half an hour, grocery shop ALONE, etc). Tomorrow I hope to be home and do some catching up. We are getting ready for winter around here. Anyone else?

Michelle
