What a superb performer. I really got into Max and his music in my school Rugby playing days in the early seventies. A time when the Welsh had such a superb team with iconic names Gareth Edwards, Barry John, JPR Williams etc etc. My Dad bought the Live at Treorchi album, which I still treasure. My wife and I saw Max live in Halifax in the early 80s. What a superb performer and what a genuine human being. I remember Wales losing to the all blacks. After the match Max said that Jasper Carrot gave him a box of Black Magic. I think his song the Outside Half Factory summed up everything about Welsh Rugby at the time.
