I was excited today to come across these threads. I thought I was the only one who was fixated on "Casey's Last Ride." In 1971 when I was in Houston where my 50 year old father was in a coma for 6 weeks following a massive stroke, my mother and I listened to WaylonJennings sing this time after time trying to understand it. I even wrote to Kris Kristofferson asking what the meaning was but never heard from him. It haunts me yet!
