G force - it was just odd. It was the pub nearest to where we were camping - but it was banning us ( even if we did not produce instruments and make a terrible din).
Whenever we have a session I always ask the landlord if it's OK. I can't imagine others don't do the same. I can totally understand if a pub wants to be a social meeting place for the locals. No offence taken if the landlord says No music.
I should imagine that the Caxton survives the winter on its takings from Folk week. It was crowded every lunch and evening, with folkies eating and drinking. I'm surprised any small pub gives up that source of income.
