I got the backache so bad I can't even pull off my shoes. (2x)
I'm just layin' 'round here with those backache blues.

When I was on my feet, I couldn't walk down the street,
For all these pigmeats just jowlin'(?) at me.

I'm on my way to the doctor; I'm 'fraid I am too late.

The backache ain't bad, but your girl will treat you so lowdown. (2x)
