Today I found this lovely recording of Ye Banks and Braes played outside Robert Burns cottage in Alloway. Every year as a child we would go there I believe the have built a fancy visitor centre now.
Little did I know then that the first 19 years of my married life would be spent in an almost identical dry stone cottage except the one we rented had a slate roof.
