a friend passed along a link to a feature article about Mack McCormack in the Nov 24 Houston Chronicle - unfortunately one needs to subscribe to read it. My first encounter with his work was 2 LPs "A Treasury of Field Recordings" Vol 1 and Vol.2 issued in the UK by 77 records. He recorded and edited many more albums. He recorded Lightnin Hopkins extensively, and other Houston area blues singers and tradition bearers. Thomas.
