Kendall, did it hurt to type the OP? If not, try mountain dulcimer - a very easy instrument to play. I like to put mine on a table and play it, since a lap absorbs so much sound. If the dulcimer is set up right, there should be almost no pressure in the fingers, and you keep your wrists level (like a good pianist) so you don't flex your wrists and ask for carpal tunnel problems. You may not wish to play it with your act, but for solace at home - why not?
