Beaver:

About a foot of light snow. It only stopped about 1 pm and was lovely to watch; at times we could not see the west hill. I shoveled for 40 minutes to clear my car. Shortly I shall shovel my way to the woodpile. Internet is sporadic.

Plumbing proceeds slowly. In order to keep everything in a heated area when we are not here, R cut a hole through the bathroom/K wall, including the backs of respective cabinets. Heat in the bathroom will also reach the K plumbing. He very carefully sealed the area from small critters. A single drain gives me all the space under the K sink free of pipes! Wow! That has taken two days so I am hoping the acquisition of running water will ensue!

Still, I managed to wash my hair and dishes, and tidy up a few things, delete emails, and write a few.

However, Sir vole just crossed the LR! I bought it sunflower seeds yesterday and asked R to put them under the floor to encourage it to stay down under! He put them on the K floor last night because he heard it in the trash. The rationale escapes me.

Michelle! Wonderful news. You certainly are working on a good track. So glad you are having a great holiday season with your fine big boy.

I shall have to phone Visa and ask about the notice thing. And last night I managed to get all the papers needed for Citizenship - this time! I am missing 4 months of credit card statements but I hope they can forgive that - out of four years, Will mail tomorrow if the weather holds.
