The sports bra has been a lifesaver for me, as I, too, have had strap buckles dig into my shoulder while working. I only own sports bras at this point, they're comfortable, easy to care for, and I can buy them for relatively cheap because both Hanes and Fruit of the Loom make decently-fitting, comfortable styles. Mine get treated the same as my wool hunting socks when it comes to washing - warm water, detergent, dried on low heat. So far, no problems. I do buy bras with a high cotton content due to allergies to most synthetics, and my laundry detergent is a mild, all-natural detergent, again due to allergies.
