I got to know Steve in recent years through our participation at folksong sessions in Wakefield - I also managed to get up to Emley to a session that he & Maggie put on a couple of years ago. I can only echo all the sentiments expressed in this thread about Steve - the sad news came to me via Dave Nuttall's text and I just couldn't comprehend it. My memory of Steve was all of the aforementioned by the many above, and also, whenever we crossed paths over this past 1-2 years, him saying, 'can you sing Judas Bus for me, Dick'. That song now takes on a very special place in my heart. I shall endeavour to get along on Mon 18 Jan My thoughts are with Maggie and his family.......
