As a catholic of more than 70 ears, I am constantly appalled at the revelations that come to light. However these have nothing to do with what I believe in and simply reflect the misuse and protectiveness provided to these criminals by the Church temporal.
I was educated by so called "Christian" Brothers and could tell some tales there. THEIR ONE AIM SEEMED TO BE TO INFLICT PAIN ON LITTLE BOYS AND I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT MOST OF THEM DERIVED PLEASURE FROM DOING SO.I believe that much of the abuse of children and young people happened at a time when they were not seen as important or entitled to opinions or views. I refer to the Jesuit mantra "Spare the rod and spoil the child"
Interesting that Pope Francis is a Jesuit. Does he subscribe to that?
