Funny and coincidental that Steve G mentioned Ian (Jock) Manuel as I was listening to the CD of songs recorded not long ago from Hull's Blue Bell Folk Union One 1969 today! Two tracks by Jock Manuel ~ Lang A~Growing, and The Road to Dundee, these are real traditional songs song with heart feeling and guts ~ and yea maybe not "pretty pretty" keys but my god the man put his life experiences into the performances ~ non of your Jon Boden about these Ray I like Jon Boden btw but Folk songs are for folk singers and beware any cross over to country music and pop music
