Regarding the alleged chant by the sea, Rap, I don't think Shane is even capable of managing to pronounce any of those words. His linguistic skills are not all that advanced, you know. Chongo? Yeah, Chongo could probably manage it. He's considerably more cultured than Shane. But would he? How does Cthulhu jibe with a worldview that is based on old Humphrey Bogart films? Not too well....
