I have no problem with the Oregon Treaty, Rap. That was mutually arrived at by the UK and the USA to everyone's satisfaction, so it's okay with me. Canada (as an independent political entity) didn't exist back then...it was a dominion of the British Empire, and the British Empire agreed to the Oregon Treaty. Fine with me.

Same goes for the Louisiana Purchase, when the French sold that area to the USA. Again, both sides agreed on a price, and the sale went through, and I don't see a problem with that either. Similarly, Russia sold Alaska to the USA. Again, I have no problem with that.

If, however, we did occupy Pocatello...! Hmm. Well, first of all, I'd recommend that the Legion Hovel be declared a protected historic site. And we'd offer you dual citizenship, and just think...you'd have access to Tim Horton's donut shops, Canadian beer, AND our National Health Insurance Plan! Shane could even visit you without having to cross the border. These would be major bonuses from your point of view, so I think you should hope we invade soon! :D

All joking aside, I hope everything goes well with your surgery, and that you are soon back in form showing the people and wildlife around there that librarians are NOT to be taken for granted.
