I hate to tell you this but that is simply a euphemism for looming mortality. "Not needing glasses anymore" is a natural concomitant of letting go of the sack of meat one has been using as a credit card in the world, and standing revealed and naked in all one's spiritual simplicity, untrammeled by matter or energy.
